Stay-At-Home Mom

So, I am officially no longer working at the bank. Due to recent events that have taken place there I did not feel like it was the place for me anymore. After a lot of soul searching and a few raw emotions I decided a couple of weeks ago to put in my resignation. I gave an extended notice for May 1st, however, yesterday it was decided that it was not necessary for me to be there until then. I'm actually very happy and at peace with where I am in my life right now. It is time for me to stay at home with my little girl and take part in things that I did not get to enjoy while I was working. I am looking forward to all of the traveling this summer to see friends and family, and an exciting family vacation to Pensacola.

On a yucky note, Raegan has had some stomach bug issues this week and it truly has not been pleasant. For all of my other stay-at-home moms out there, you better start calling me for lunch and play dates. Introduce me to your fabulous world. =)

4 Wheelin'

We went to a birthday party for Mason Krol and he had a little Kawasaki 4-Wheeler. Raegan really enjoyed being on it, so I think at some point we may need to get her own ride...maybe a pink one. She also had fun playing with Sarah, however she didn't like it when Sarah was on the 4-wheeler. After Sarah would slide off (since she was only 8 1/2 months, Raegan would hop on to show Sarah what a big girl she was. Sigh. Kids, they are so competive.

In the Dog House

My silly baby loves to play in Sawyer's crate. Sawyer is not so fond of her invading his home. She will climb inside and close the door on her self. It is so precious.

Raegan's First Christmas...alert!

Here are pictures of Raegan's first Christmas where she was aware of her surroundings. She was only 5 weeks old last year, so she was mainly like a lump on a yule log then.

Here she is finding goodies in her stocking. She's not too into books yet other than to flip through them very quickly, but she'll will love them some day.

Mommy and Raegan on Christmas Day!

Precious family on Christmas Day.

This was our family Christmas picture. We took this at Raegan's birthday party at my parents house. Notice not only the green and red for Raegan's Strawberry theme, but also for the Christmas spirit. Pretty genius huh?

It's about time!

Well, I guess I should probably do some updates on this blog since it has been almost 2 months since I've written anything. Well, I guess a lot has happened since I last blogged. Probably the most notable is my baby is walking. She took her first steps on December 9th, and then the Monday we got back from the Christmas holidays (Dec. 29th), she just took off. I walked to another room and I noticed she just kept following me. I kept expecting for her to fall after 7 or 8 steps like usual, but it was step after step and she just kept going. Needless to say, now she is practically a pro at walking and therefore she gets in to everything. Raegan has also produced several new teeth. She now has her four top front teeth, her two front bottom teeth. She also has 3 molars, and her fourth is breaking through, as well as another front bottom tooth. As you can guess, all of this leads to a lot of drooling.

As for Justin and I, we have been busy as well. I moved back to my old position at work, and Justin got IP of the quarter for the squadron in December. We spent the holidays with both families and it was great seeing everyone. Last weekend I went on a girls weekend to Fort Worth. I went with several of the squadron spouses whom I also do a bible study with. We went shopping in Southlake, ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, dinner at Joe T Garcia's, and then we went out to some of the bars in Sundance Square. I had so much fun with these ladies, and I'm getting pretty sad, because soon a few of them will start moving away. I knew the day would come eventually, but with this being our first assignment, this is our first experience with friends parting.

This weekend Justin and I will celebrate Valentine's Day early in Arlington since he will be leaving for a 10 day deployment with IFF to Las Vegas. I told him that they needed to change the name of it because deployment makes it sound like something miserable, like going to the desert for war or something. It does not conjur up images of partying Las Vegas style. So, since he will be gone during Valentine's Day, we are going to Simply Fondue (one of our favorite fun restaurants to go to) a week early. Then my parents will come and visit Valentine's weekend to keep me company.

In the next few postings, I will put up some pictures that I have missed for the past 2 months.

Ride em Cowgirl!

Okay, I swear, just one more for the night. I just had to post this picture because she was so cute. Here is a picture of Raegan on the pink pony her Mimi and Grandpa got for her birthday. She has quite figured out how to go forward, but she sure can go backward like a pro.

90th Squadron X-Mas Par-tay!

Here are a few pictures from Justin's Christmas party on Saturday night. We were able to get a babysitter and go out and have tons of fun with our friends. I haven't had that much fun in a while. There was good food, wine, and lots of crazzzzyy dancing. Did I mention that all of the ladies looked gorgeous that night and I always love a chance to see my man in a suit.
How hot are we? =)

Hott mamas! Sharon, Kristen, Julie, Lisha, and me

Julie, you are a wild woman!

All of the ladies! Woohoo!

Angi, Julie, Kristen, and me

We missed you Michelle! ='(

Santa Baby

We took Raegan to the mall yesterday to see Santa. I was so sure that she was going to scream her head off, but instead we got a really good picture of her with him and she was very intrigued. There was also a really cute pose of the two of them checking each other out, but I wanted to purchase the one where she was looking at the camera.

Oh yeah, a few new milestones have happened in the past week. Raegan took her first steps on December 9th and she has another tooth. That makes 7 for her. She still doesn't have the walking thing down, but she is trying. We make such a big deal out of it when she takes her steps that she gets really excited and keeps falling every time she tries after that. It's so cute and she just goes toppling in to our arms. One thing that I have noticed since she started all of these new tricks is that she is becoming more independent. She still wants her "mama" a lot, but she will go off and play with her toys on her own. That is a big step from what her normal was. She ALWAYS wanted me to be with her when we were at home. It made it pretty difficult to get things done. However, I don't want her to grow up too fast and not need me at all. =(

Bank Ladie's Christmas Party

Yesterday was my Ladie's Christmas party for the bank. So many parties to attend lately. I love this time of year and all of the holiday festivities, but there sure is a lot going on. Anyways, my party was a lot of fun. Everyone brought something to eat, so there was tons of food, and we had a gift exchange. Some of these ladies are vicious when it comes to stealing gifts.

Party Time

Yesterday was my work Christmas party. It was held at the Good Times Party Barn. It was sooo cold inside there and I didn't have a whole lot of warmth from my clothing. But hey, my outfit was cute and we got a lot of funny pictures.
