Ride em Cowgirl!

Okay, I swear, just one more for the night. I just had to post this picture because she was so cute. Here is a picture of Raegan on the pink pony her Mimi and Grandpa got for her birthday. She has quite figured out how to go forward, but she sure can go backward like a pro.

90th Squadron X-Mas Par-tay!

Here are a few pictures from Justin's Christmas party on Saturday night. We were able to get a babysitter and go out and have tons of fun with our friends. I haven't had that much fun in a while. There was good food, wine, and lots of crazzzzyy dancing. Did I mention that all of the ladies looked gorgeous that night and I always love a chance to see my man in a suit.
How hot are we? =)

Hott mamas! Sharon, Kristen, Julie, Lisha, and me

Julie, you are a wild woman!

All of the ladies! Woohoo!

Angi, Julie, Kristen, and me

We missed you Michelle! ='(

Santa Baby

We took Raegan to the mall yesterday to see Santa. I was so sure that she was going to scream her head off, but instead we got a really good picture of her with him and she was very intrigued. There was also a really cute pose of the two of them checking each other out, but I wanted to purchase the one where she was looking at the camera.

Oh yeah, a few new milestones have happened in the past week. Raegan took her first steps on December 9th and she has another tooth. That makes 7 for her. She still doesn't have the walking thing down, but she is trying. We make such a big deal out of it when she takes her steps that she gets really excited and keeps falling every time she tries after that. It's so cute and she just goes toppling in to our arms. One thing that I have noticed since she started all of these new tricks is that she is becoming more independent. She still wants her "mama" a lot, but she will go off and play with her toys on her own. That is a big step from what her normal was. She ALWAYS wanted me to be with her when we were at home. It made it pretty difficult to get things done. However, I don't want her to grow up too fast and not need me at all. =(

Bank Ladie's Christmas Party

Yesterday was my Ladie's Christmas party for the bank. So many parties to attend lately. I love this time of year and all of the holiday festivities, but there sure is a lot going on. Anyways, my party was a lot of fun. Everyone brought something to eat, so there was tons of food, and we had a gift exchange. Some of these ladies are vicious when it comes to stealing gifts.

Party Time

Yesterday was my work Christmas party. It was held at the Good Times Party Barn. It was sooo cold inside there and I didn't have a whole lot of warmth from my clothing. But hey, my outfit was cute and we got a lot of funny pictures.

Troll Baby

Ever since Raegan has started eating table food, we never know what she will look like at the end of the meal. The other night for dinner I made a creamy pasta dish. Here is what our little troll baby looked like at the end of that meal...

Cupcake Party

We had another birthday party for Raegan the week after her Strawberry Party. This time it was a cupcake party (gotta love themes =). We had the party at our house in Wichita Falls. Several of our friends came and brought their kids. There were so many babies born last fall along with Raegan, so she has tons of toddler friends that were able to attend. She also had a few younger friends come and they were totally enthralled with Raegan's "big girl" toys. Unfortunately my camera malfunctioned and I only got one picture before it died. My friends were kind enough to send me some of the pictures they took. I just need to get a few more, but I can post some of the pictures I have so far.

Our delicious spread. We had fajitas, smoked salmon, veggie bars, cheesecake, and black forest cupcakes. Yum!

The birthday princess in the tutu her mama made for her.

Beautiful baby girl.

Sarah loved this toy. It is Raegan's sing-a-long stage. She loved it so
much her mama bought it for her Christmas. She got her present early. =)

Here's Raegan's friend Kasch. He is 6 months younger than Raegan. He had a lot of fun playing with Sarah and Raegan and all of the toys. Sarah was beating up on Kasch some. The girls just have to show all the boys who is boss.

Turkey Time

We had a fun Thanksgiving in Wichita Falls. Justin's mom and sister came up to visit and I baked a ham and made potato casserole. Yum! Raegan has had an ear infection. I stayed home from work with her Monday afternoon and all of Tuesday. Her doctor put her on antibiotics and she seems much better now, but she was so helpless looking when she didn't feel well. It makes me so sad. Justin surprised me when I got home from work on Friday, and he took me to Pasqual's for dinner (no baby). Pasqual's is a really delicious restaurant in Wichita Falls. It is one of the few nice places here to go out on a date. Thanks to Grandma and Aunt Katie, we were able to spend a romantic night out for dinner, which we haven't had in quite some time. In fact, I think the last time we got a night out like that was Labor day weekend when Justin got home from S.O.S. and my parents were here. We went to Pasqual's that night as well to celebrate Justin's return home and my belated birthday.

Other than that, we just spent the rest of the weekend hanging out as a family and decorating for Christmas. I love hanging the ornaments on the tree. I try and make it a point to get an ornament for each member of the family every year to hang on the tree. This year I got Justin an ornament that commemorated his graduation from his MBA. Raegan received a beautiful angel that says "Mommy's Little Angel" and her name on it, and I got myself an ornament that has a man and a woman on it with a ring on the woman's finger for an engagement. I've been meaning to get one ever since we got engaged and I never got around to it until this year. It's only been almost four years, but hey, I finally have one. Raegan helped me hang the ornaments, however she was more interested in going through the box and taking them all out than actually hanging them on the tree. I'm a little concerned about the lower ornaments this year since she is mobile, but so far she hasn't paid too much attention to them. Time will tell...

BZZZZZ!

Raegan was a bumble bee for Halloween. She was so incredibly cute. At day care they had a trick-or-treat at 3 o'clock. I was able to get off work to go watch that. She really wasn't digging the whole situation. We had to walk through dark hallways cramped with a bunch of people to go from classroom to classroom. I think she was feeling a little claustrophobic. I know I was. Later that evening we walked around the neighborhood with a bunch of friends and their children. Well, Raegan didn't exactly walk. She rode in the stroller and I pushed her. We were more there for the companionship of friends and the adventure. I think she is still a bit young to fully appreciate the whole experience. Next year she will be revved up to load herself up with sugar.

I Hate Shots!

We had to go to the doctor today for Raegan's 1-year old appoinment. She weighed in at 20lbs. 4 oz. and 29 inches. She has grown so much. However, she also had to get 4 shots. I felt so bad. It hurt me so much to see how upset she got. So far she is doing okay, no fever, we will see how the night goes.

Here are some pictures from when we went to the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago. She was not so cooperative for these pictures. There were so many kids around, she was more intent on watching what they were doing than paying attention to the camera.

Happy Birthday Princess

Our little princess turned 1 this past weekend. Her real birthday was on Friday. I had a tough time with this 1-year milestone. She is growing up so fast. She's not a little baby anymore. She is so independent. I just love the little person she is turning into, though.

We traveled to Katy for Raegan's birthday party on Saturday. The party was held at my parent's house, and it was quite the spectacle. 27 people for one little girl. She sure is loved. The theme of Raegan's party was strawberries. She wore a tutu and I even made her a little green princess tiara that was supposed to resemble the crown of a strawberry. It turned out quite nicely if I do say so myself.

I also decided to make her cakes myself. I originally thought that I would have someone make the cakes for me because I knew they would be a big project, but ultimately after trying out a few bakeries I came to the conclusion that I just wasn't going to get what I wanted from a baker and to get that I would have to do it myself. I was quite impressed with myself how they turned out. We had a little issue with the buttercream icing, and it kept melting, but it still tasted really good and the cake didn't sit around long before it was scarfed up.

Our little monkey loved her cake. In fact, we decided to take the cake away from her because it was so large and she kept eating it. That didn't go over well with her. She threw such a fit. She's not used to eating a bunch of sugar or junk food, so I didn't want to go overboard with it. Are we mean parents or what?

Raegan racked up the goods at the party. She received all of the noisy toys a kid could want...a parent's dream. Her favorite's seem to be a ball popping machine, a princess wand (go figure), and a ride-on disney princess car. Knowing her, she will have all new favorites tomorrow. =)

Oh, and did I mention that she threw the hugest temper-tantrum when I took a card away from her that she was trying to tear up. Oh yes, we are definetly the parents of a toddler now....

Hello All

Hi everyone. Well, I have decided to follow in the footsteps of some of my friends and start a family blog. With our family stationed so far from home, and soon to be stationed even farther, I figured that the best way to keep everyone up to date on our lives is to post it on this website. We have had a very eventful past few weeks so I'm sure I will be posting quite a bit in the next few days to update everyone on what we have been up to. Thanks to all of our family and friends that will be following the Lewis Family journey through our blog. Love to all!
